IKAN Bowler

  • Manufacturer: MGT Corporation
  • Distributor: MGT Corporation
  • Functional Level One: Motor
  • Type of Adaptation: Equipment Adaptation
  • Description: With the IKAN Bowler, the wheelchair user is in charge. Easy to attach to virtually any straight or sport-style foot rests, this revolutionary system allows the bowler to control the speed, direction, and timing of the bowling balls release. The chair is what creates the momentum, and inertia is what drives the ball down the ramp.
  • Notes: The IKAN Bowler can be used either as a dynamic or stationary device. As a dynamic device, the wheelchair is positioned from 6 to 12 feet behind the lanes foul line, then proceeds at a speed no greater than four miles per hour before releasing the ball before crossing the foul line. As a stationary device, the IKAN Bowlers precision design and quality construction maximizes ball control and speed even though the wheelchair is not moving.
  • This equipment is listed under the follwing multiple categories:

    1. Sports : Bowling : Bowling Ball Holder
    2. Sports : Bowling : Bowling Ramp
    3. Sports : Bowling : Electronic-Controlled Bowling System
